Instructed by Mr. CJ Baker & Mr. Jay Russell

The  Seishin Juku Karate system is a traditional Japanese karate that combines Kyokushin, Wado Ryu and Judo, but also incorporates many elements of combat sports like boxing and kickboxing in kumite. Many techniques are not found in other styles of karate such as limb destroying techniques.

In this form of karate the instructor and his/her students all must take part in hard sparring to prepare them for full contact fighting. Unlike some forms of karate, Seishin Juku places high emphasis on full contact fighting which at Ross Taekwondo, is with gloves or protective equipment.   However, there are hard sparring drills done without pads, this is tempered somewhat by the fact that you are not allowed to use a non-kick or non-knee strike to hit your opponent in the head, thus greatly reducing the possibility of serious injury. Knees or kicks to the head, on the other hand, are allowed under control, and with proper gear these strikes are allowed.

Both Mr. Baker & Mr. Russell, trained in Yokosuka, Japan.  In Japan they were given the oppurtunity to continue their martial arts training for several years under Instructor Yoshihiro Takashima, in Seishin Juku and Kyokushin karate at the Yokosuka Dojo.
Mr. Baker & Mr. Russell will be teaching a "Full Ranking System" of Seishin Juku Karate.
Testings and Rank Advancement will be held at the level when the student is able to achieve new techniques.
